Guidelines for Little Illini JFL Scholarship Fund

1.        Scholarship criteria for eligibility.
a.        Must have played for the Little Illini JFL for three (3) years.
b.        Must have played at least 2 seasons of high school football.
c.        Must be graduating from one of the Little Illini JFL host schools.
d.        Must be continuing their education at either a junior college or university
as a full time student.
e.        Financial need.

2.        A committee maintains guidelines and will make decision on scholarship
winner/winners for each year.

3.        Committee selection criteria includes, but is not limited to:
a.        Must carry a certain grade point average (2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale
recommended)
b.        Must be in top half of class percentile ranking.
c.        Financial need.
d.        Letter of recommendation from teacher, faculty member or respected
community leader.

4.        3-one-time awards of $500 (one for each Little Illini JFL division) (2007
only 6-one-time-awards will be awarded)

5.        Distribution of application should begin February 1.

6.        Deadline for receiving application is April 22.

7.        Awards will be distributed May 15 to student via high school winner is
graduating from.

8.        Check should be made to the Institution where student is going to further
their education.

Division 2

Benton Wheeler - Sullivan - Okaw Valley

Division 3

Luke Butts - Warrensburg - Latham
Charles Schaab II - Decatur Catholic

Because of only one applicant/recipient from Division 2 there is
one at large winner this year.
